I have found that when the pressure is on at work, particularly when preparing for a big event, our team really pulls together and works as one. No job is too big or small for anyone and everyone gets involved and takes responsibility for the tasks at hand, whilst still having a laugh!
Things are changing all the time, so it’s really important that we review and learn constantly. What have you learned from the past?
I think the lesson I’ve learnt from the past which I apply most often to my life, both at work and outside of work, is to be genuine, sincere and friendly to people. You get a lot further working with people when you’re smiling!
Being in the present means that we’re focused on the here and now, giving our full attention to what’s happening. How do you ensure that you’re ‘in the present’?
I believe every individual is entitled to being heard and therefore I do my best to always focus 100% on others when dealing with them. Maintaining focus at work results in doing a better job and therefore fulfilling my role to a high standard. If this is achieved there is no need to redo jobs, leaving more time to learn new things and take on more responsibility.
